Dr. Bryant J. Lum
Bryant J. Lum, MD has served as the head physician of Ventura Ophthalmology since 1993. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the internationally respected Jules Stein Eye Institute of UCLA and a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist for Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. Trained in advanced cataract, glaucoma and refractive surgeries, Dr. Lum is an innovator in bringing new techniques such as clear cornea cataract surgery, iStent glaucoma implants, and LASIK to Ventura County.
Dr. Lum attended medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed three additional years of eye surgery training at the Alton Ochner Medical Foundation, plus a one-year fellowship at the prestigious Washington University in glaucoma surgery.
A graduate of Stanford University, Dr. Lum was a member of the Swim Team and received Academic All-Pac-10 honors. In the fall of 2014, Dr. Lum swam the 12.4 mile Anacapa Channel Crossing from the island to the mainland, sans wetsuit.
Dr. Jewel Liao MD
Dr. Jewel Liao, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract, Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and External Diseases.
Dr. Liao attended the State University of New York (SUNY), Downstate Medical Center, where she received her medical degree, and completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center. She additionally continued her studies and completed a residency in ophthalmology at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she was Chief Resident. To further hone her interests in the anterior segment and the cornea, Dr. Liao stayed at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed a fellowship in Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and External Diseases. After several years in private practice, she relocated to Ventura county.
Dr. Liao is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cornea Society.
Dr. Felicia Lew
Dr. Lew attended some of the most prestigious educational institutions in the country. She also gained vast experience with eye care in a wide variety of settings, treating patients, from air force pilots to infants.

* Bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College in Biology with concentration in neuroscience and behavior, 1999
* Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley, 2006. Invited into Beta Kappa Sigma Honor Society
